Purchasing Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers are purchased just like any other item in our store. They are intended to cover the full price of a single painting. Just like ordinary paintings, you can select the size that you wish for and the price of the Gift Voucher will cover that size.
If you want a Gift Voucher to cover more than one painting then just change the quantity in the shopping cart.
Once you have purchased a Gift Voucher and it has been activated, the amount of the gift voucher will be added to your Voucher Balance. This balance can be seen on the "My Account" page and in the "shopping Cart" box which is located in the right hand column of most screens. This balance is only visible after you have logged-in.
If you have funds in your Voucher Balance then you will be able to use that balance against purchases or else transfer some , or all, of the balance to another person. Please below for instructions on how to send a Gift Voucher to someone else.
Why are there 2 vouchers with different prices? One for EU customers and one for non-EU customers
Gift Vouchers for EU (European Union) customers include VAT (Value added Tax).
Gift Vouchers for non-EU customers do not included VAT.
If the person using the Gift Voucher is in the EU then you should purchase the voucher for EU customers.
If the person using the Gift Voucher is not in the EU then you should purchse the voucher for non-EU customers.
How to Send Gift Vouchers
To send a Gift Voucher is a simple process.
1) If you have funds in your voucher balance then these funds will be shown on your "My Account" page and on the "Shopping Cart" box in the right column of most pages once you are logged-in. Underneath the voucher balance is a link to "Send Gift Voucher". Click that link and you will be able to send some or all of the balance to another person.
2) When you send a gift voucher you can specify a) the recipient’s name and email address, b) the amount of the gift voucher, and c) a personal message to the recipient.
3) The recipient will receive an email with your message and details of the Gift Voucher enclosed.
Redeeming Gift Vouchers
If you receive a Gift Voucher by email it will contain details of the person who sent
you the Gift Voucher, along with a short message from them. The email
will also contain a link to redeem the voucher.
There are two main ways to redeem a voucher. In both cases you will need to be logged-in to the store so that the voucher balance can be redeemed against your account.
1. Click on on the link contained within the email. This will take you to the "Redeem Voucher" page. Enter a correct voucher code and the amount of the Gift Voucher will be added on to you voucher balance which you will then be able to use to make purchases.
2. Enter the voucher’s redemption code during the checkout process. There is a box in the select payment method page where you can enter the voucher’s redemption code. If the code is valid then the voucher balance is applied to the cost of your purchases.
Making purchses with a Voucher Balance
Once your are logged-in, your voucher balance is shown on the "My Account page" and on the "Shopping Cart" box in the right hnd colum of most pages. If you have funds in your Voucher Balance then you can use these funds to make purchases. You do not have to use your voucher balance if you do not wish to.
During the checkout process you have the opportunity to apply your balance to the cost of your purchases by ticking the box titled "Tick to use your Gift Voucher account balance".
If your account balance if greater than the cost of your purchases then the difference will be available to you for future purchases or to send to someone else.
If your account balance does not cover the costs of your purchesee then you will be asked to pay the balance.
